If you are referring to the strut bar, no. It fits perfect with no contact anywhere but to the mounting brackets. The kit actually comes with spacers that raise the mounting bracket 3/8 of an inch above the top of the strut tower, which makes the bar sit higher.

I have never considered needing to upgrade my wheels, I just upgraded my cleaning products. Although there are a few nice wheels, if I ever get bored. SM-10Rs/e

Today, I visited my local shop to replace my Goodyear Supercar 3's with new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. After mounting the wheels, an alignment was performed with the John Beam system. While the vehicle was up on the lift, the mechanics also replaced the differential and transmission fluid and we inspected the struts and rotors as I am approximately at 41,500 miles now. With the AMSOIL Multi - Vehicle ATF, the manual six-speed is shifting nicely, even on a cool day. The tires are certainly a nice upgrade for driving the wet roads, too. I look forward to continuing to maintain this car as it reaches closers to 50K and potentially beyond. Still need to replace my grille, luckily I located one at a dealership in Virginia. To be continued...

I drove it! Last Friday I really f'd up my knee and was worried I wouldn't be able to drive it for a long time, but managed to get in it, take it for a good sized drive to air it our and charge it up, and got out of it with no probs.
MRI is next week, but having some time in the cockpit after not driving it for a week and a half was pretty decent medicine, for the short term at least.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=LYNgDWxR...MUP00Q_wEBgtsw I can't put my finger on it after a few beers and Jack, but possibly the front splitter and lowered an inch or so? Curious. And hope the MRI shows good news. Been down that route before with a meniscus tear. Knocked me out of work for almost two months. Whatever you did, it looks damn good. After my extended warranty is over the mods are coming on mine as well. First a mild cam, tune, and at least a 1 inch drop in the front. And if you don't mind sharing what you did to get that look, and don't mind me copying it, holler. If not, totally understand. : ) Last edited by Texas1ss; 04-20-2024 at 05:42 PM. |

Got my free oil change at 1761 miles, at Barlow Chevy. I had them change the differential fluid as well and cashed in my Chevy bux, or what ever they call them. They only got me for $106, if memory serves. I managed to forget the Blackstone Labs oil sample container but the tech got me a sample in an empty water bottle. That place is great. I was able to walk into the shop and chat with the tech and his apprentice, while standing under my car. They were really cool. This is a small, family owned dealership. Apparently, they have many employees that have been there for 20-30 years. That immediately tells you that it's a good place to work. Buying the car there was a positive experience as well.
Oh, they also helped me prank my wife. I took pics of the pearl white 2024 Corvette 3LT that's in their showroom, along with a good pic of the >$85k window sticker. Then my sales guy took a pic of me sitting in the car. I texted the photos to my wife and told her that they are giving us a great deal on a new Vette. Told her they were giving us what we paid for the Camaro. She won't admit it, but I'm sure she had a brief moment of "OMG! This is what happens when I let him go to the dealership by himself!". I do have a history. Early on in our marriage, I was banned from food shopping. In my defense, is $60 in junk food in addition to all the usual stuff unreasonable? I like vienna sausages and cheese ends. Pork rinds should be their own food group. :-) -Ray Last edited by Ray3768; 04-21-2024 at 07:44 AM. |
