I said the exact same thing, but I came across a really good deal on some 1LE sized tires and mine OEM tires had 8,000+ on them so figured I'd be needing tires soon so getting a great deal on the 1LE tires pushed me to finally order the MRR017s... And I was able to sell my Carbon Flash Stock SS wheels/tires to one of our Camaro club members who has a 2016 HBM but had silver wheels and he's wanted black since he got the car so it was a win-win...

I was lucky in finding my take off set. They came off a brand new 1LE. For some reason the owner put on a set of new wheels and tires on the car as soon as he took delivery. I was able to get a great deal on everything, wheels, tires and tpms. All I have to do is put them on the car.

I sold the OEM wheels from mine as well. They were actually originally the silver 5 spoke that were powder coated black. I had them wrapped in DWS 06's. Gave the guy a great deal. $400 for everything. I just wanted to get rid of them so I wasn't storing them.

I wanted 1LE take offs but out here in Kalifornia Camaros aren't all that common and SS 1LEs are even more rare so it seemed like every take off set I heard about was in the Midwest or the East Coast and it just wasn't going to work, so I ended up going with the MRR017s which I'm very happy with.

Holy crap you aren't kidding you gave him a screaming deal! I was asking $1,500 for my set and ended up settling for $1,350 and I was very very happy to get that because that almost paid for my wheels. I had contemplated keeping my wheels but then my wife said are you ever going to put them back on the car? And of course I said no. So I just wanted them out of my garage but I certainly wasn't going to give them away.

If a company made a 19" forged set that looks exactly like the 1LE wheels, I wouldn't hesitate for a second. I have OEM 1LE wheels now, but 20" is a wee bit too large, 19" would work better. The design is so awesome that I won't consider anything else for the Camaro.

110% agree with you. I'd do the exact same thing if someone made a 19" wheel. I am actually debating getting different wheels for my Tahoe when I need new tires. I love the look of my OEM gm wheels, but they are 22" wheels and there just is not enough side wall for my ride comfort. I'd go with a 20" wheel.

As for what did I do with my Camaro today. Getting the coolant flushed.

I was very close to doing that with my 1LT but with my 2SS it might be a long time until I decide to go that route

They did a GREAT job on those wheels!
