Apparently all manuals use the MN6 code to define 6 speed trans provisions. MJK for ZL1 and MH3 for ZL1-1LE. So I guess in theory the MN6 should automatically define it as a manual and A1Z as a 1LE. Conversely MH-3, defines the car as a MN6 as well as an A1Z in one shot.

I did a quick search on your car.

382 ZL1 in sharksin grey
98 with a manual
21 of those 98 have BCD
16 of those 98 are the 1LE (A1Z) package
of those 16 only 4 have BCD option.

There are 12 Automatics that have BCD and 1LE option.

From seeing that I don't think its true that if the car has BCD it is a manual.

From what I can tell from the excel doc, you have a 1/4 car. 1/16 from 1LE and adding in the BCD narrows it down to 1/4.

49 other cars across all colors have the Manual, BCD and A1Z options.

Just for reference when adding the MH3 RPO code, the count doesn't change when Manual is selected. Deleting A1Z and keeping MH3 also doesn't change anything, because like you said MH3 will cover both manual and A1Z.

Split Bumper, thanks for the breakdown. I thought I must have been doing something wrong.

Very interesting facts presented here. With the 2024s still rolling down the line, what's the best guess as to production numbers ?
Spring 2024 ?

If Raidator does another VIN run in mid December we should have them all. Production ends on December 7th apparently.

Radiator, Thanks again for getting us all this info. I went ahead and compiled all the data and built a dashboard. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to upload the dashboard as it's not my personal software. If I was you all would be able to play with the filters I put in on the right side of the visualizations. I printed to PDF which still gives you all a nice visualization of all the data. If anyone else has any ideas for me to add to the visualization let me know! When y'all open it, make sure you use the zoom feature of your browser or PDF software. I would suggest using your computer over your phone but either will work.

Crazy how the MY24 take rate for automatics on the V8 trims is so high, compared to manuals. I thought this being the last year of the camaro, folks would go for the true 'enthusiast' spec which is the 6MT, but clearly that's not the case..

Seriously I’m shocked by this as well. Like I figured above 50% would be auto but I didn’t think manuals would represent less than 20% of all Camaro’s built. Also I don’t wanna hear any BS about millennials not buying manuals. The average Camaro buyer is 55…

Couple other statistics I got from my dashboard I posted above.

52% of Camaros bought have a V8 in them. I’d bet that percentage is lower on the Mustang.

When looking at 2021 and above (first year SS 1le could be had in auto) 48% of SS/ZL1 1LE’s have a manual transmission showing that the 1le package is the enthusiast’s package of choice. I did not look for turbo 4 or v6 1le’s as I didn’t feel like looking up the rpo codes for them atm.

I'm the age of the average Camaro buyer I guess. After 30+ years of jamming gears the auto is a refreshing change. It's faster, more consistent, less maintenance, etc. I still have 2 Freightliners, an auto and a manual. Even though shifting gears is second nature it's still more work. You have to put your coffee down until your going at a steady pace.

The first 5 Collector's Edition cars built, for GM personally, are all M6.
