I have been in the LE business for 10 years and don't ticket people for no front plate. I have stopped plenty of vehicles for no front plate but that is my pc for the stop to try to find drugs/weapons/felons. I myself don't have a front plate on my vette and won't have 1 on my Camaro either.

I would just keep the front plate in your car or ziptie it to the front bumper somewhere if you are worried.

IMO front plate tickets are a joke. Driving with no insurance now that pisses me off. I'm not a ticket cop though I'm more of an uc cop.

Leaving it in the garage until I get pulled over for speeding, then if the officer notices I might put it back on.

I'd be such a horrible ticket cop. I hate people driving slow in the left lane, changing lanes / turning without using their blinker (and prior to making the change, not during if at all), gawking/rubbernecking (should be ticketable), did i mention driving slow in the left lane? and people on their cell phones delaying green lights, leaving far too much space during left turns or stops at intersections and just generally driving distracted.

I would make orange county so rich and pissed off. But front plates ...meh. i've been at the mercy of probable cause many times in my older camaros - it's just a waste of everyone's time.

edit: well more rich than it already seems.

Mine came with the plate mount already installed, so I guess I'll just put the dumb plate in it an be legal! Spent years driving my Vette with no front plate, but it is risky and a $135 ticket here in Washington! Used to keep the Vette plate in the back so I could claim I'd just come from a car show and forgot to put it back on!!

I'm with you there. I dont know why the intended use of the different lanes is such a foreign concept to most people.

I'll probably carry an order confirmation around for a no-drill front license plate bracket until I get stopped, then actually get a no-drill front license plate bracket.

There was a proposal here in MD to make an exception for vehicles that do not have a bracket provided by the manufacturer, and it has been shot down because they are afraid of losing revenue from toll booths and speed cameras.

I did not have the dealer put my front on, currently on 45day tags to get away with no front.
Ohio requires a front plate right now and current legislation to remove the requirement is being considered.

Being a Commercial Trucker, i don't want to chance a no front plate ticket and with the splitter i feel some on the ones mentioned are just too low.
So i ordered the aftermarket tow hook & license plate holder from zl1addons.


Should be in Friday and will install.
