I heard the 3 day rule was in regards to once it gets to the last train depot or lot. The truck transport has 3 days to get it to the dealership but I can't confirm this as fact I have just heard this from several people on this forum but I have no idea if those people know what the hell they are talking about.

I took another look at the email mxair2001 got from his dealer and it does state three business days as if it is a GM policy and it could something dealers say to buyers as a matter of course, but there are too many instances of it taking more than three days to get from the rail yard to the dealer to give credence.

When Corvettes were shipped not using rail the shipper had ten days from getting responsibility to get the build on a hauler even if there were not enough builds to make a full load. That rule was honored but now even Corvette builds use rail so it no longer seems applicable. I still have nor seen a GM three day rule, the dealer email, to me, not being probative.

Sorry.

Proof the three day rule is intact!

At least one time, which is all the proof needed.

109 days after ordering and the car finally arrived. They have to check it in and clean it up, so hopefully I'll be able to drive it home tomorrow.
