Not everyone got used to it. I still hate the taillights. Looks like a foreign family car. I'm still waiting for GM to impress me like they did with the 4th gens. I loved my ws6. I liked the new camaro but by the time I was ready to purchase, the 14s were out and I just don't like the refresh. I do love the look of the new mustang though so I may have to switch sides if this one doesn't look much different than the 14-15

Why wait? There's a dopey anteater-looking mustang sitting in a lot with your name on it for sure!

Looks are one of the least important aspects for a muscle car. So the question you should ask yourself is...will you be happy knowing the 6th gen is faster and better handling? Since all signs point to a big bump in performance. But if looks are all you care about then that's another story.

Yeah looks for a Euro sport not a muscle car is how this is leaning. Snubbed everything down for the sacrifice of weight. You will get a lighter car but at what expense? Having a camaro decklid of 8 inches? its turning into a small euro fast/hatch back. So yes you lost weight now you have bought a lexus disguised as a camaro lol. I agree with prev posters these teasers are not helping sell anything, we are now in competition against bmw and lexus, might as well turbo it(i see where this is going) and move all out of the muscle era. Snub it enough and we will be in a category of much faster more progressed "sports" cars that will become "new" competition im afraid.

A muscle car by definition is the lightest small car with the biggest possible engine. Not a 4000lb gran touring car which is what the 5th gen was closer too and the challenger truly is. Sounds like we are getting closer to the real idea behind the Camaro.

Gross! Looks like a cross between a Mustang and a Scion or something.

I say before you pass judgement on a car in shadows with lots of reflections of who knows what, just wait till you see in it the light of day...
Just so silly to judge something you cannot make out the details on..

Where did you get that the official reveal is in NY?
Nothing has been made official regarding the reveal of this car.

I hope that it is but I bet that it won't.

This is not a true statement.
I would say safety and fuel economy are the least important aspects.

Looks are close to the top. A muscle car needs to look like a muscle car. The looks of a muscle car define its purpose. The new 6th gen looks to have lost the muscularity and edge of the 5th gen. It's too soft.

Would you buy this if the performance was better than the 5th gen?

An older coworker, who owned a few muscle cars during the '60s, once told me, "you gotta like looking at your car".
I don't care how good performance is, if I don't like the way it looks, I won't be happy.

This was the first true muscle car:

It was not flashy or even by a stretch the best looking car at the time, but it sold like crazy and started the era.

So while I agree that of course we don't want some ugly performance monstrosity (i.e. Nissan Juke GTR, really what were they thinking), people are making way to much a deal about the looks being a deciding factor.

Am I the only one bothered by people calling the Camaro and Mustang muscle cars? The Chevelle, GTO, and Cutlass were the muscle cars for GM. The Camaro and Mustang were pony cars. Relatively small and nimble. Park a 5th Gen next to a 1st gen (yes I have) and you will see what I mean. Those cars were small for the era. They were not the large cars that the Chevelle,GTO,Challenger and the other muscle cars were. I think what everyone who is against the Camaro shrinking really wants is a modern Chevelle. With that being said, I could get behind a real Malibu making a return. That's what the SS should have been. Make it a Malibu and then a performance version called a Chevelle. But stop calling a Camaro a muscle car. That was never the intent.
