I called my cousins broker whom he swears by. Despite the fact I pay 12k per year for bundled auto/home/umbrella insurance, he said he couldn’t beat it. So instead, I pulled the camaro off and have that insured through Grundy. That saves me roughly $1600.

I’m disgusted with these rates! They’re crooks.

Insurance the last three years along with everything else has skyrocketed! Prices are astronomical and part of the reason is the supply chain is broke, getting parts is a nightmare and add the cost of parts has risen out of control on top of that!
The sad part is we are going to have to go through this for another year of rising costs and then prices should begin to fall back in line like they used to be. Although living in the Harris and Galveston Counties prices for all is a bit higher because of all the crazy drivers and the mass of people they keep building houses for. They keep packing us in like Sardines!!!

Anyone got low mileage rates on theirs? We’re both retired and it’s a second car and not driven much.

I have two on low mileage. Saved me about 200 bucks every 6 months.

No tickets and 1 not at fault accident and I get all the discounts they say lowers it. Good driver, mature drivers, multi car
Last year it was $3400 for 2 vehicles for a $500,000 policy $500 deducible

Was that for 6 or 12 months? Either way, it's crazy high even for a year, but utter highway robbery if 6 months...

Get the breakdown detail before and after. See what changed.

My guess: comp went sky high (due to high theft rate in CA). But your liability is also 500k (like mine) and liability is the highest part of my insurance bill ... more than all the rest put together.

I call BS. I think we're being price gouged on all types of tangible goods. Companies enjoyed and continue to enjoy those post covid profits and don't really care to pass any savings along after things stabilized somewhat. Just my 2¢.

I'm looking at changing the insurance on the ZL1 CE to Haggerty. They are quoting $4100 CDN ($3000 USD) per year for $250K CDN ($185K USD) coverage, 5M liability, $5K deductible. My current policy has "replacement valve" at $1200 per year, but they couldn't tell me how much that was. I'm guessing they will call it just a used ZL1 and give me $60K if something happens.

In central VA, Erie Insurance. 2024 SS, $756 a year for over 50 and multicar + home discount. Rate locked through 2026, thankfully. Low miles option for 500/500/200 w/ $250 deductible.
