Virginia International Raceway !!
Great two days at a great track. Got to run the full and the grand. There was alot of traffic and the groups was overbooked, but all in all a pretty good weekend. Was another zl1 A10 and a few ss 1le cars. My car is fully stock. Stock pads still seem to work very well as for the tires, they are good but definitely hold the car back. Im on my 4th set of front pads and tires and 2nd set of rear pads and tires after 7 days on track!!

Very nice, you drove her hard! The car looks so fun on that course and sounds so mean. Thanks for sharing.

Nice laps. I hate I missed you. I was there today watching and it rained for a while this morning. I would love to see what you could do with some softer tires like 60 tread wear instead of the 220 GY's. It looks like you even improved on day 2 through the first half of the track. It would have been interesting to see what you could have run on Day 2 if you did Full instead of Grande. Thanks for sharing the videos.

Man, you guys are so lucky & makes me smile to watch these vids. Still don't know when I will be able to make an event. I love deep south tx, but we are at the bottom of the world...finding the time & distance is a killer.
Question on the tires: You say they held you back...did you replace & will you continue to use the oem rubber?? |

Very nice. Looks like the oil was getting a bit hot, I'm guessing everything was problem free though, right?

Nice dude! I've been waiting for a ZL1 to run the full course with a good driver to see what kind of times it would turn in. Well done.

Hey Eric, cant wait to see what the zl1 1le does and the ss 1le!!! I think if i got two days of the full 2:03 would be more like it, as bow tie said i picked up some time thru the esses on day two. I just had to keep pushing to see how much it would take, ended up a few mph faster on day two through the esses with around 132 entry 125ish mid and 121 exit while going still going back to full power for 10. Kinda insane that with no aero the car is that stable thru them, but the tires was squealing most the way through.

Well done indeed. Only 4 seconds off of the official lightning laps just run.
And holy crap that car sitting in the middle of the road on that last turn had me pucker. I assume you had seen him? Glad he didn't start pulling forward.

I was the passenger during the excellent 2:05 lap. Yes, this man is a driver! He is very controlled and fast. My car was doing OK too. I did manage a 2:08.3. Using Harry’s Lap timer, my sector times were much better, but I couldn’t connect my best sector times to a best lap. This “virtual best” was a 2:05.3. My car does have Pirelli Trofeo Rs and racing brake pads. I still have one more day on track with Audi Club and hope to overcome the obnoxious traffic and poor track conditions today.
