ZL-1 add on rock guards with street scene body kit?
I want to get the ZL-1 add ons rock guards for my 2SS now, but I also want to get the street scene body kit in a few months. Any problem having them both on the car?

I just had ZL1Addons install the front guards on mine at CamaroFest. They attach using one factory screw for the inner wheel liner on the front and 2-sided tape. The rear attach using the 3 inner wheel well liner screws only (did this myself after pulling the wheels off to mount). Should you mount the guards before the body kit, you would need to peel off the the fronts and reapply 2-sided tape for remounting (or get new ones). As for compatibility of any body kit with the guards, it can be done. However, you will have a little bit of a gap between the guards and the kit where the kit wraps into the wheel wells. But, it likely will work as I have seen it done on other owner's vehicles. One even got creative and used black caulk to fill in the gap but admitted there was some cracking. Perhaps black-colored silicon (if there is such a thing - I don't know) would be more forgiving.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone actually have this combination on their car?

Thinking of getting some of these myself. I have the ACS Composites kit on my 2ss but am not sure what they will end up looking like.
What are the opinions of the how they look once installed? Are they the quality part that they appear to be? |
