My Magnuson Install

Hi All,
I'm well under way on installing the Magnuson on my 2016 2SS Auto. Here are some pics I took last night.

Couple of comments/questions:
1) Oil - didn't expect to see so much of it on the intake side. (I'm new to Camaros and modding in general, and I am aware of catch cans, but never considered it.) The car is at 13K miles on the odo.
2) What's supposed to hold the 6" section of the valley plate down? I reached around the back and am able to wiggle and lift it. I can actually pull it out since it's only the ridges of the fuel pump that's keeping the piece in place.
Wondering what the point of it is. Seems like it would have been a better idea to keep it in tact and let the SC rest on it, but I'm no expert.

I just finished up the install - loving it.

I'm in the Phoenix area and want to run cooler so was looking at the AEM kit. I saw your other post about running AEM meth injection. I don't need extra HP (for now ), but is there a "minimum" configuration so I can get the cooling and intake cleaning effect, but not go through a tune? Thanks!

SC install looks great!

You sure can, if it's warm enough year round where you live, stay toward a straight water mixture in the tank so it won't have a big effect on your A/F ratio, but it's probably easiest to just use the -20 windshield washer fluid. If you do, stick with the cheap stuff, read the ingredients which should be only water, methanol and dye, and finally shake the bottle, if the bubbles disappear in a couple seconds it's probably the right stuff.

I'd install the AEM 30-3350 (with tank) or 30-3352 (no tank). Since I used the stock windshield washer tank we didn't need the tank. I will note that the Camaro WW tank does not have a level sensor, so I recommend adding a level sensor to the tank, or using the AEM tank.

Drive the 30-3350 controller off the MAF sensor - its the light green/white trace wire on the 8 wire MAF that you connect the blue AEM wire to.

Run the medium size nozzle (500cc/min), test the system as outlined in the instructions before installing the nozzle in the intake and you should be ready to go.

I just did the install on my Z06 last weekend, I should have taken pictures along the way which would probably been helpful for the install...

Wow, thank you Mike! This is exactly what I was hoping for. Will update the thread once I get this done.

What is the best location and method for mounting the nozzle?
Is it simply cutting a hole on the intake tube anywhere between the maf sensor and the throttle body? Not sure the best method for securing it - clamps, silicone caulk, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Getting mine installed this week, did you not buy the Maggie kit with the intercoolers?

I did. But if I can go even cooler and clean intake valves too, didn't see why not.
