Autocross and JPSS

I have come a long way in my journey with my car. I want to first off write this post with a couple of different lessons. Hopefully I can educate some others along the way.

1st- I want to help some of the drivers that are thinking about what to do to their car first. In my opinion (there will be a bunch of people out there that say the same thing, but I didn't really believe them until this last autocross) Tires are the absolute best mod for autocross you can buy. Before this last race I was thinking I had a lot to learn and it was going to take a very long time for me to learn the lines and some the key things to being fast out on the track. The last race I was ~ 10 seconds off the pace of the leaders in my class(cam-c) (You can see the mods in my signature.) I had placed an order for my wheels and tires that I thought would be there for this event but they came just 2 days after the race. Fast forward to this last weekend it was my first autox with my wheels and tires. Let me tell you HOLY CRAP these things are sticky( 305 re71rs all the way around) The last event I went from being 10 seconds off the pace to being right with the leaders. On my last run I would have won if I didn't hit a cone. Came in 2nd in cam-c, for my 3rd autox ever I thought that was pretty good. ( there were ~15 cars in my class) The best thing is I know she has more in her, that last run that I hit a cone I was over a second faster than the time I posted for 2nd.

2nd Justice Pete and everyone at JPSS are truly top notch!!! I have worked with Pete through my entire build process and will continue to work with him in the future. The car handles like a dream and is so planted into the ground I cannot even believe it. I had a rider that had been autoxing for more than 30 years and has won an overall national autocross national championship get into my car and tell some of the other long time guys and others working the event "holy s*** that car has grip for days. It wants to throw you out the window". Also I want to say although Pete will not want me advertising this all over the internet, he has helped me through some build processes, and had answered the phone late at night and on the weekends. He truly loves cars takes care of his customers and will be there for you every step of the way. I have learned so much from him and I'm sure I will continue to learn.

Now I just cant wait for the next event!!! Till then guys thanks for reading!

What wheels, tires and sizes were you running before the ones you had last weekend?

How did you get RE71Rs in 305? I've never seen any wider than 295.

We have been doing the 305 square fitment since 2009. The Z/28 has the same setup. I wonder where they got the idea???

Ah, I was looking at 20" wheel sizes, not 19".
