2016 Camaro ss Rotor/Pad Change

hey guys, i am looking to change the rotors and brake pads for the front. it is the 4-piston brembo brakes that are factory on the ss. went to dealer and was told i needed replacement. the cost for replacement on the 2 rotors and brakes pads would be a total of $698.00. should i purchase the oem replacements or go with the

Power Stop® - 1-Click Street Warrior Z26 Drilled and Slotted Front Brake Kit

would the power stop break kit be a downgrade?? from the brembo rotors and pads on the stock setup?.

would really appreciate the help. thanks!.

1 hour labor, saving 60%, new rotors and pads....a no brainer.

My only concern is quality of discs. Are the brembos much better quality or no?.

Your still using the same Brembo calipers where the clamping force is generated, just swapping the rotors for ones that are pre-drilled. You loose some small percentage of surface area due to the holes, so that is a consideration. But I would think that is likely to be imperceptible to most drivers. And the drilled rotors do look nice! Lots of people using the Z26 pads, myself included. I don't think you would notice the difference in the pads other then the no dust.

If it were me, I would go with the PowerStop kit.

Why would a wear item be covered under warranty?

Stock discs/rotors are not Brembo , they are AC Delco. Good rotor , made in the USA ( for now...)

RacingBrake offers a complete brake pads for Camaro (G5 & G6). These pads are low dust and no squeaking.

Quite a few CamaroSS 5 owners installed our two piece rotors and pads and have been very happy with the result.
