2016 Camaro ss Rotor/Pad Change
hey guys, i am looking to change the rotors and brake pads for the front. it is the 4-piston brembo brakes that are factory on the ss. went to dealer and was told i needed replacement. the cost for replacement on the 2 rotors and brakes pads would be a total of $698.00. should i purchase the oem replacements or go with the

1 hour labor, saving 60%, new rotors and pads....a no brainer.

Your still using the same Brembo calipers where the clamping force is generated, just swapping the rotors for ones that are pre-drilled. You loose some small percentage of surface area due to the holes, so that is a consideration. But I would think that is likely to be imperceptible to most drivers. And the drilled rotors do look nice! Lots of people using the Z26 pads, myself included. I don't think you would notice the difference in the pads other then the no dust.
If it were me, I would go with the PowerStop kit. |

Stock discs/rotors are not Brembo , they are AC Delco. Good rotor , made in the USA ( for now...)

i just did my pads and had my rotors turned a few weeks ago spend under $200 for front and rear and only took a few hours and basic hand tools
upgraded to z26 powerstop pads and still on stock rotors

RacingBrake offers a complete brake pads for Camaro (G5 & G6). These pads are low dust and no squeaking.
