If they are used for dusting, they are fine, if they are use for cleaning or scrubbing, then It shouldn't be used. Used California duster for years on cars and that's fine if it's just light dust. Break them in Per the procedure in the instructions.....

I have used the California Duster since I got the car to get the pollen and dust off before I ride. My car is a garage queen so no dirt or grime is being scraped off. That is a very important thing to remember. Also if the pollen is heavy I use the electric leaf blower as a previous post suggested.

Agree with this. My rule of thumb is that I'll use my cali duster unless any water gets on the car (puddle, rain, etc.). At that point I go full wash.

Have used California Dusters for many years, of which most were black cars and we all know about maintenance on those!

I only use mine if the car needs a light dusting off since it's last cleaning, as long as it hasn't been driven. Once it has been driven even once, I will not use it as it can just push the road gunk/dust/dirt/etc around.

Dusters are great for the 1 or 2 days in california after you wash your car. By that number of days though, you'll have morning mist as you drive to work cause the dust to get wet. Then the duster is useless unless you like leaving yarn streaks on the car (or if you wait till it's dry, not work at all).

I keep one in the car all the time. Hardly ever use it though because I feel stupid dusting my car in public and there's no real point on doing it anywhere outside of a car show because it's gonna be dusty again in 2 hours.

I have no OCD shame. I keep mine in the car and dust at every red light.

I've used Cal Duster for years at car shows and after a Saturday drive just to knock the dust off the car.

Only thing I will add is spend the money and get a wooden handle version. They hold up much long and less likely to break.
