First ZL1 to Run Tail of the Dragon?
I might be the first but maybe not. This morning started with a drive in the ZL1 to Wal Mart at 5am to get a small space heater for the garage. It was 21 degrees outside but dry and clear. The weather forecast said 50 degrees by noon so I took the ZL1 for a drive to put some break-in miles on the clock. I went south from Oak Ridge TN through Tail of the Dragon, then east to Cherokee NC, north through the Smokey Mountains to Gatlinburg, and then back to Oak Ridge. The Dragon was deserted - a few pickups, a few imports, several bikes, and one police car. None of the photo vendors were out so I took my own photo. The M6 is a ball to drive and I used first and second gear only through the Dragon part of the ride. The car stuck like a slot car all day and felt planted and predictable. The tire temperature gauge said normal the entire trip. This was my first ride other than the interstate so I took it easy but had fun and stayed safe. All the roads were dry and clean. Between the Dragon and a hundred other curves, I can say that the rev match is really fun once you get used to it. I was skeptical but it worked great and took very little time to gain my confidence. I would leave it on all the time if it wasn't so loud. Definately need to shut it off in town traffic. I am pretty sure I liked it more than folks driving in front or back of me through the Smokeys. The Recaros were fine and kept me planted and comfortable. Mileage was about 19 for the trip. The drive included lots of twistys and curves, some interstate, and 15 miles of moderate traffic (Pigeon Forge to I-40). I did not turn on the radio or music at all and used the Nav feature the entire trip. Nav worked better than my iPhone in the areas where there is no signal. What a great way to spend the afternoon!

Awesome! Was up on the Dragon about a month or so ago. Awesome area, just tons of fun twisty roads to drive. If you haven't driven the Devils Whip and the Diamondback you have to drive up that way into Little Switzerland area and the BRP.

You are in Oak Ridge? I'm in Knoxville and the car came in on Tuesday and I'm supposed to pick it up tomorrow. This will be my wife's weekend/show time car.

Your 2016 was crazy fast in the quarter so I'm sure this one will be too. Is the handling significantly different than the 2016 SS?
