I burned through apparently a full quart in 2000 miles... I had refills of 1/2 quart every 1000 miles at the dealer.

Engine runs like a champ and revs like a sexy beast though.

Same here - changed for first time at 3800 and it was full and almost clean. I don't understand how GM and other car companies maintain that high oil consumption is normal when only a few engines have it but the majority don't need oil added between oil changes.

OP - good luck.

I've had 2 of them. Neither used any oil. Did you stick with the recommend break in procedure?

The manual says they can go through oil during the break in period also when driven hard after break in.

I DON'T want to start a fight, Let Me make that clear!!! This is why I waited till around 3K miles till I had Mine done! (and Mine uses NO oil) Changing oil to early has been Known to cause this problem.

Yeah, would love to hear this one explained.

BTW, did the 500 mile change on mine and have not had any loss in the last 2000 miles.

As long as you're sticking with standard spec oil, there's no difference between getting an oil change at 600 miles or 3000 miles. It's the same oil.
I'm a proponent of the break in oil change because of the nasty stuff I've seen come out of the filter after those first few hundred miles.

Whatever you do, give it about 10,000 miles before switching to a synthetic or blend, you need to give your engine time to wear in.

Factory fill is a blend.
