**EDIT** Sorry I don't see a power goal for you on this thread. What are your power goals?
I think I would be fine around the 550rwhp mark. Maybe 600 if I decided to push for a little more later. If it will be around 550 rwhp with LT headers and CAI with the stock lsa blower Id probably be ok with that. Maybe stick in a cam later to hit the 600+ mark.

If you have the heads off, I would at least replace the lifter buckets as extra insurance. I had a lifter rotate after a cam install due to those at 35k mi.

The LS9 camshaft is a great cam for what you are looking to achieve. It is not the biggest or baddest cam out there, but it will pull all the way to red-line, idle just like your stock cam, and offer 100K mile valve-train reliability. The LS9 will easily make your goal of 525-550RWHP (I am at 650RWHP) without breaking a sweat. No need to change out any parts other than the cam itself. I would however, change out the oil pump and replace the timing chain tensioner, no matter what cam you decide to go with. Good luck with your project!

Thanks for the info. If I do the cam Ill probably do the trunion upgrade and valvesprings just encase. If Im in there as you said I may as well do the oil pump and tensioner.
