On an unprepped surface I can barely launch at 1.5k RPM. On a prepped track I can use Launch Control and take off at 4k and don't spin.
Do you have a m6?

being able to experience my car launching that high is worth the trip to the track!

No not really. But if you use launch control it is in Comp. Mode and it keeps the car straight.

Here is a video of my 8.1 pass. You can hear the tires squeal a little bit but it hooks pretty good. Cut 1.9 60 ft. There is a guy with slicks that did a 1.86 so I would say it got out of the hole about as good as it can for street tires lol. You can also hear the 1-2 shift but car stays straight.

Props bro! Cutting a 1.9 60ft with a manual is not easy! So comp. mode/launch control and launching at 4k?

Cars.com did an acceleration test, got 12.3 launching at 4k as well with an m6.

What is the difference between comp mode if u don't use the launch feature and traction controll off? They both leave Stabilitrak on, right?

Yeah 4k is right around where the Launch Control settles when you stab the pedal.

Comp mode leaves Torque Vectoring and inside wheel braking on. These are things that help keep the car straight or controlled in a corner, I assume that is why Launch Control is only available in this mode.

So if I'm in comp mode and get spin going into second I shouldn't be worried about going into the wall?

Correct. I've never gotten loose going into 2nd gear. Are you doing a burnout before launch? I can see this happening on cold tires but I've never felt like I was ever going to lose control of my car and I'm making 50wtq over stock.

You gotta get em hot with a burnout. Burnout also removes debris like gravel and small rocks that get in the tires in staging and on the way back to the staging lanes.

Go to Fontana on the 23rd and I'll help you out.

I appreciate the offer! I put it on my calendar. Please let me know if something comes up and you cannot make it.
