Ordered my BlackFire products today.

I took some advice from Glen and ordered BlackFire total polish and seal, Cyrstal Seal, Wet Diamond, Midnight Sun Carnauba spray wax, total Eclipse tire & wheel cleaner, along with Duragloss rinseless was w/ Aquawax, Nanoskin fine speedy prep sponge, and Chemical Guys InnerClean interior detailer.

I also ordered 10 530gsm MF 16x16 towels, 2 waffle weave 400gsm 25x36 drying towels, and 4 MF pad applicators.

In a couple of weeks I plan to get the porter cable polisher, 5" backing plate, CCS white and blue pads.

Okay, they are roughly the same price.

If you picked up Crystal seal, why would you need the Wet Diamond and Carnauba spray Wax?

After reading Glen's 3 step process, and also reading some of Todd Helme's recommendations. The 3 step process calls for finishing polish, then Wet Diamond, then crystal seal, some that I've read call for a 4th step of the carnauba wax. The carnauba has they exact same polymers in it and will add to the protective coat and shine quality. From everything I've read about Wet Diamond and Crystal Seal, Wet Diamond is actually a higher quality paint sealant. Not to discredit Glen what so ever, but he has been the only recommendation that didn't include at least the Wet Diamond before the Crystal Seal (if you chose to skip the second step in his recommendation). Most of the first hand reviews I read stated that Crystal Seal alone only lasted 4-6wks, where as when put on over Wet Diamond it was 10-14wks.

The other reason I got the carnauba spray is for after legit water rinse washes, I'll spray with the carnauba.

Im the only one? ....Hardly....you need to read closer....

My docs recommend wet diamond optional. After doing the method for five years I have come to the conclusion that now it's not necessary. Unless you are in Northeast/weather and you're out in the winter all your long.

And the original rapidfire process as it written by Todd does not include wet diamond. Here it is:

Layering 3 to 4 products over each other is completely unnecessary. I personally think you cut down the reflection by layering three and four products.

If you want to step up to a premium machine I'm seriously considering selling my Griot's Boss 21 5 and 6 inch backing plates. About 12-16 assorted pads for each size. About 4 hours on the machine. Has the lifetime warranty. 350.00 plus freight. I want to get the new Flex Long Throw machine. All my other machines are Flex.

Calm down leap frog, read where I put into parenthesis "if you chose to skip his second recommended step". I've noticed you get "short" or "snippy" with people extremely fast, even when something has absolutely nothing to do with you. I've seen it at least a dozen times on different threads. I thank you for the detailing advice, but I assure you that you are no better of a person than I or anyone else, so go a head and lower your nose...

I live in MD, Sunday it was high 40's and we had freezing rain, Monday it was a sunny 74 degrees, Tuesday it was below freezing and snowed, today it was sunny and in the 60's. Our weather here is so unpredictable that our meteorologists are constantly made fun of.

I read multiple recommendations from multiple sources (that's how research is done), and all the ones I read recommended putting Crystal Seal on over Wet Diamond.

No thank you, that's a little rich for my blood.

I'm getting 4-6 months out 2 coats of crystal seal, not sure where you get the 4-6 weeks stuff but not my experience. and again, the link I put up is from todd helm was at the time worked for blackfire/autopia. However, I have seen the crystal seal abraid quickly if put on without a polish. Still it was good for a couple months.Be careful with wet diamond, it stains black trim....

one thing that throws people off about blackfire sealant is they do not bead in the conventional sense, they sheet the water off the car, so many will think the sealant is gone when it still glosses perfectly, just a characteristic of the product, Ultima paint guard, another seal does it too...

good luck to you in whatever way you want to do it...

From the reviews I've read, a small percentage of people experienced staining on their trim. I sounded as if it may have been their pre 2011-2012 formula. However, I'll take precaution and do a small inconspicuous area first.
