Pony cars closing the gap?
Muscle / Pony Cars closing the gap on Exotics? With the Camaro SS doing 0 – 60 ~4.0 seconds which is only a second away from your average exotic cars. I know a second can be an eternity in performance numbers but it doesn’t take much modding to get there. We are just talking about the SS and not the ZL1, Z06, or 707 HP Hellcat. These cars not only made for straight line racing anymore. They already caught up or even surpass them in the technology department with Apple car play, wireless charging, etc. Just want to know you guys thoughts? |

I wouldn't really think the pony cars are closing gap on exotics but man,,, that picture of Camaro and Lamborghini together look good. (I would prefer SS Camaro but if those two can be together in my garage, I'll take them. )

No. Exotics are trapping 130mph in the quarter.. Guess it depends what you consider exotic.
3 seconds to 4 seconds 0-60 is a big percentage difference. 0-60 isn't the best comparison imanyway because it is so traction limited. |

The exotics are still at a league of their own. Even though the camaro is close to the performance of the exotics, within 1 second or so to 60. This is still a big gap to fill.

A second is an eternity when it's 3-4 seconds.

You choosed the wrong thing too compare my friend.i know while driving you can't really notice or care about a second difference, you feel the same kick into your spine in both cars but nowadays, each 0.01 second is a big difference and companies like porsche or ferrari make cars with the same performance that the aventador has but 0.2 second faster 0-100 and you can see the price difference.besides don't take the 0-100 that important. The GT-R can do it in 2.9 seconds but the aventador will do laps around it.the hellcat got the same amount of power the aventador has but if you try to make a corner with the same speed the aventador did,you will end up in a tree(if there is one).I don't know as much as you guys do about cars but I know that 0-100 is not every thing in the world of performance cars |
