I still don't understand the logic of building Z/28s for dealers that don't have sold orders (let alone have a 2014 unsold) for them while those of us that have 2015's ordered won't be getting them till late fall or next spring. I know the allocations are based on dealer sales but one would think sold orders would get preference anyhow. Oh well, more waiting.

Its up to the dealer to decide how they want a car preferenced. To GM they are all sold, to the dealer. Also, GM really doesn't have any real way of telling if a car is sold as most dealers will tag a hard to get car as a sold unit anyway.

The Black 2014 was for a customer who ordered it with out AC. The customer backed out so the car was available for retail sale. Since it's Florida a no AC car, and it's a 2014 this car will sit for a while. My best guess is if it's on the lot for 30 days it will be offered as a dealer trade to one of the partner dealerships out of state.

That car with no ac is listed at $70k but the would take $68k to get rid of it.
