Here's a revised side view. Quite a bit was changed. I completely resculpted the fender lines. The top windshield was moved backwards, roof line altered, side windows streamlined. This view has the 5-spoke wheels. The upper render is with the wheel well extensions and 19" wheels. The lower render is without the wheel well extensions and 20" wheels.

That is not a production car, nothing like that has been announced for production, and most importantly of all ... even if something like that does get produced, its not going to be the 6th generation Camaro. Its just Car & Drivers guess as to what the 6th gen may look like, based heavily off of the Code 130R concept.

The 2010 design is sick as hell, just keep upping the power and let it live forever.

I think Chevy will lower the fenders as depicted in the side views presented by DOC, and
I think Chevy will do this to meet pedestrian safety standards in Europe. This way they will be able to compete with the Euro-Mustang of 2015...Ford did the same fender-height-lowering-thing to be able to sell the new Mustang worldwide (i.e. Europe, etc.) The C&D rendering is therefore more FOS than real...between the nose and the fenders, it is WAY off what will happen. |

Funny, cause nobody outside of GM has seen it. Do you work for GM?

Cute thing is that the front of the 2 year old 130R looks strikingly like the new Mustang. Throw an Aston Ford-in Grille..

That doesn't mean they weren't inspired by each other; they were but they still put in the effort to make their own products distinct. The same thing was going on in music. There were many bands on the scene, but there was no question about who you were listening to when you heard the Beatles, Beach Boys, Byrds, Moody Blues, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Eagles, Boston, etc. Now so much of the music scene sounds so similar it no longer matters who's actually performing; the songs, styles and music are so plastic and homogenized they're pretty much generic. I'm encouraged by the C7; it shows a willingness to lead instead of follow and I hope that same spirit is alive and well in the Camaro design team. The new Mustang looks very safe and tame; no chances taken; nothing bold or exciting. That kind of approach never wins the gold medal. It may be good enough to take a silver or bronze, but the opportunity to take the gold is wide open now for the Camaro design team. I hope they really go for it!
