I did the BMR links on my car, years later, thousands of track miles, canyon driving, still tight.

I've tightened my drivers side strut endlink nut twice now and the sound comes back after a few days each time. I'm going to purchase the nut suggested by carguy55, 11548382.
This got me thinking, maybe I'm doing something wrong. Do I need to torque this while the suspension is under load? |

No, this should not be necessary. This is a ball joint stud, and as such it is free to rotate within it's socket in the link. Therefore, it doesn't bind like bonded-rubber axial bushings, so it doesn't matter what ride height the suspension is at when you tighten the nuts.

Hi all. Reading this and i have a new issue that may be related. I recently got a 2016 SS and about 2 months into owning it it was making a clicking thunking sounds while turning the wheel while stationary. it also clicks going over bumps and when i am coming to a stop at a stop light. So i took it in and had the dealer look at it and they replaced the front end rear trail arms because the ball joints were destroyed. car felt great no clicking for all of 10 miles and its doing it again. Any ideas what could be going on here?

Yeah that’s kinda what I’m thinking. Being in college I can’t jack it up and take a wheel off to look myself. Have to trust the dealer. I’m going to take it back in and have them fine tooth comb the front end and see what we get.
