Don't forget. If you need the Range updated to the newest software, you can send it in and they will do it for free. Only costs you shipping, both ways.

To check your software version just count the number of blinks you get when plugging it in. I just got mine a month ago and I have version 8.X. So I get 8 blinks. FYI. |

Dumb question but for those who've received their Range did it come in the box sealed (taped shut)? Mine came in today and although still in the mail packaging the box was open.
Thoughts? |

Mine was not sealed and there was zero documentation.

You’re welcome.
Btw..while im not knocking the folks at Range I just figured a purchase over $100 would be sealed someway and some type of simple instruction sheet. All of the information is on their website, though. But I do think it would be helpful. If some of the little things were messaged to the buyer via some type of information sheet. For example, a lot of people don’t know how to check their version number. A lot of people don’t know they can’t plug the device in before you start the car or you shouldn’t unplug it while the car is running. Some of those types of things. |

I think you have a typo there. You do plug it in before you start the car. They also say it should be removed if not driving for more than 3 days.
