Question Temp A10 oil check ???

Hello,

When doing an A10 gear oil change, which temp has to be reached to check the fluid level? ZLE pan (changed).

Some threads say 212F, others 150F…

As stated by GM, there is no difference between track or street fluid level, that’s clear, but temp checking is not, so please give your experience (here in Spain we do not have GM specialists, so nobody knows how to do it correctly).

Thank you.

This video explains everything from start to finish on how to correctly add fluid. And yes, to include the ZL1 1LE.

After reading this post, I am much more confused...

https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=614953

- Video says to wait until 150 ºF.

- 2017 service manual says 203-212 ºF.

- 2022 service manual says 167-176 ºF.

WTF?????

The video posted above says full operating temp on the 10L90, 203-212F. Keep in mind that video was posted 6 years ago so it would have been just like the 2017 service manual recommendation. If the 2022 service manual has changed, then I would only go by that recommendation if you own a 2022+.

The video and what the 2017 manual says are the same. You have a 2018 so I'd go with that. Always do what the manual says for your year vehicle.
