Yes exactly. Funny thing is I use to think people are crazy for doing it. My warranty expires this August so I decided why not, I spent the same amount on PPF. I did the pump, timing chain and damper.

They didn't remove the engine. They loosened the motor mounts enough to raise the engine a bit. This enabled them to completely remove the oil pan. Clean off all the mounting surfaces then re-install everything.
Looks like a big job. I don't think I would trust a dealer service department do mine if it was ever needed.
I "think" Katech would actually remove the engine to swap out the pump?
I wasn't able to attach the link.
Perhaps someone else here with more proficient cyber skills can?
Just thought I'd share.

there is the link. But after watching it. Doing this job myself would be exceptionally scary. That was a lot of stuff to pull

Are you replacing the oil pump with the Katech unit?
If not, the GM oil pump in your 2019 is the latest "improved" and "stronger" version that was installed by the factory.
These latest versions don't have the higher failure rates as the 2017 and 2018 do.
Although there have been some oil pump failures in 2019+ cars but far fewer than 2017 and 2018.

They didn’t remove my front bumper, dropped the subframe and suspended the engine. It took a total of 1.5 weeks because we had to wait on a few small parts I missed. I supplied most of the parts.
