Getting a stage 1 Cam soon which supporting mod is better?
Should I go the Ported Heads route or should I get ported intake manifold. I can’t afford to do both right now haha so I’d like to get opinions on what’s best.
Other than the Cam I would I get, the mods I have are CAI,E85 and 2inch headers. |

In my opinion, the ported heads. For the cam job the heads need to come off so you would save having to pay again in the future for the port work, and all the extra expenses from taking heads off.
The intake manifold can be done easily at home later down the road. That would be the most cost effective method. In terms of performance, on a cammed car I think both are equally important as the extra airflow will benefit the cam. Never seen someone do heads without an IM, since IM is part of the first stage of modding (going FBO). most of the time a person doing a cam already has an IM.

Save up until you can do it all at once.

Following as I’m considering a cam as well.
Would love to see some before and after dyno numbers if you guys who’ve done it already have them. Thanks!
