M6 with Bias Ply
I recently picked up a pair of ET Street R and after reading more stuff on Bias Ply I am ready to get a set of Bias Ply after running the R’s.
I have 17 inch x10 in the rear so not much choice for 17 inch Mickey Thompson tires, in fact only one 17 inch. So I guess I will be running a four corner square in the future. What are you guys running for Bias Ply and any advice would be appreciated. Did you find any difference and better times?

Not DOT right?
Then really the 28” Hoosier is the one. I think it’s like 27.5” but used on most of the bolt on record cars. You need a skinny tho.

Roger on that and aware of it. Had skinnies on my last build and honestly did like the feel on the track. Not looking to go for a record run, safe and consistent is what I am after. I see guys in the 8’s and that’s a lot of hard work. My car is forsure a 10 second car and if I get into the 9’s I will be happy. The Bias Ply will be easier on my drivetrain and that’s what I want for a manual. The wheel hop was violent last weekend.

I’ve had decent results with the Hoosier quick time pro bias ply. It is a soft sidewall tire. If you’re not running a class requiring a dot tire I would probably go with a Hoosier c07 stiff sidewall slick.

Hoosier & MT only currently have one 17 in. The Hoosier is a 11 inch rim and MT is technically 9.5 but 10 will do. So it’s MT for now unless someone advises differently.

The MT, if you’re looking at the DOT, is very very tall. Like 28.5”
with boost it might work. I ran it and it felt great driving it track and back. The launch was super soft on the driveline. Just way to tall and bogged the motor down on a simple NA bolt on car

If you’re always running front side prepped track, I would think about any of bias ply options would do just fine for you.
