Brand new, factory wrapped 1985 IROC for sale
This 1985 IROC was found in a trailer with only 4 miles on it and all the factory covers and paperwork still in/on it.
Its built the right way too: 305 5-speed with every option (except cruise oddly) Beautiful. If I had the liquid cash I wouldn’t be posting this until after I bought it https://www.carscoops.com/2024/05/if...le-is-the-one/

Man a 100k for a 190HP car.
Nostalgia is great but so is a new 650hp ZL1 with lots of gas money left in your pocket

A new ZL1 is still governed by the used car market.

That must be the definition of "New Old Stock". Back in about 2008 a former co-worker of mine bought a 1993 Mustang Cobra that had ≈105 miles on it and had never been through dealer prep. Beautiful car, but he almost never drove it because it would ruin the uniqueness of the ultra-low mileage. I referred to that car as the "New Old Stock Mustang".

I owned a 1988 IROC. Loved it but those cars were real flimsy. Even after they added glue to supplement the welded seams (1987 I think), they flexed something terrible. Not a solid car at all.

The Mona Lisa is pretty to some, valuable to some, all these high dollar high dollar low mileage vehicles are not in my wheelhouse.

I'm guessing this is the one that was found inside an 18 wheeler trailer. Stored there since brand new. It's too bad that it's not a TPI 305 but it's a very nicely optioned car otherwise. Great time caspule.

I remember when this car was discovered in the shipping container. There have been some updates on it over the last 10+ years or so. I'm glad to see it still only has 9 miles on it. Someone has been taking care of it and preserving it.
It sold at auction earlier this year for a hair over $60k. This is an investment flip, as the asking price is now $100k (firm). I don't think $60k is unreasonable for the car. I'd be curious to know what it sells for next - if, or when. |
