A10 - V6 - Grinding noise at 1500rpm while on load
Hi Everyone, first time posting on the forums!
I purchased my 2023 V6 A10 Camaro a few months back, so far I've only driven it for 600miles. Since the day I purchased it I noticed some kind of grinding noise , I'm not really sure where the sound is coming from but I suspect it could be either from the transmission or maybe some loose heath shields. It only happens while on load, around 1400 to 1500 rpm and while accelerating. I tried to reproduce it while on Park or Neutral, and the sound is not there... that makes me believe it has something to do with the transmission. I was planning on waiting for my first service to take it to the dealership to get checked, but wanted to see if anyone else has heard this sound. Today I was able to record the sound, added some indications in the video when the sound is heard. Thanks in advanced, Happy to be part of this awesome community. |

Today I stumbled with this post while browsing online.
https://gmauthority.com/blog/2024/03...on-gear-issue/ I think this is what I'm actually hearing, looks like a pinion bearing issue. |

It should be easy to eliminate exhaust as a possible source if the car only makes the noise while in gear and moving. Last edited by ctrlz; 03-21-2024 at 10:28 AM. |
