Ordered a used differential from Day's Parts Yard. Awesome service. Paid for it on Wednesday night and got it by Saturday. Here are the pics of the broken diff. Im curious to open it up and find out what s wrong.

It's a torx plus EP20 socket you need, but watch the wall thickness of the socket you get since some of the machined pockets for screw clearance in the casting is tight and doesn't look like they machined it big enough for proper clearance for a EP20 but maybe its not standardized or they had clearance issues.
So my stock rear gave out at about 100k when the washers/shims on the clutch pack broke in 2 and both sides were broken. It was still driving fine but I could hear a faint whirring noise. Check out this thread: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=602957 We need to figure out how we can get someone to make aftermarket parts and gears for this rear. |

Dont want to steal or move away from some of the post but sort of pertains to it. Can we just change the ring and pinion ... well and carrier, is welded to ring., from the 2.77 to 3.27. Id like to keep my cooler on there. Was looking at a BTR stage 3 cam and stated on their website lower gears would help. Any thoughts.
