Yes they flow the same. I spoke with CAI directly. The only difference between GM one and CAI(non GM one) is something inside the tube. That’s why CAI one does not need tuning. Performance is the same. I had the GM one on my order back when I ordered my ‘22 1LE and it kept not getting accepted. We found because the GM one had been discontinued. So I pulled it off the order and the next week my order was accepted. So I called CAI and ordered from theme directly.

Interesting, the GM one is very definitely a dry filter, perhaps Cold Air Inductions offers both varieties in their own version?

Never, as Ventmaster said above. GM offered it for a while in a slightly modified form, then even that was discontinued, because there is not enough demand to compensate them for the excessive certification fees. Third parties have even less of a budget to wrestle endlessly with CARB.
