2023 Zl1-1LE
Took mine out to the villages yesterday with the wife and it was pretty cool having people take pictures of it and having one person tell me they have never seen a 1le in person. I waited almost 2 years to find a dealer that would not screw me over with either taking a deposit and never getting one or adding 5 grand on top of MSRP. I almost bought a C8 but the dealer Greenwood Chevrolet came through with no markup in this day and age it is remarkable.

Congratulations. I don't see too many 1LEs, or even ZL1s.

Xelor - If I'm not wrong, I think that's what the place is called, it's in Florida, "The Villages" I think it's north of Orlando. I've been there while on vacation in the area, pretty cool place !

Congratulations you scored at MSRP! You are right, I see plenty of “NOT” Zl1-1le’s. Maybe from a 100yds, but as I move in, not so much, lol. All good

I have owned my 2018 HBM ZLE since 11/2018 and lived in LA the entire time. It's still very surprising to me that there are almost no ZLEs here, I only see them at the track and there are usually a few there--very popular track car in So Cal. I have seen a total of maybe 5 on the street in 5 years, don't even remember when I saw the last one.
With all the nice sports cars here in LA, people prefer more expensive Porsche, BMW M, AMG, Audi RS, and exotics, and of course also Corvette, GT 350/500 and Hellcat vs ZL1 or ZLE. The ZLE is a rare car and when I bought mine it was still very under-appreciated... which meant that in 2018 I found my perfect blue ZLE parked for months in the showroom with 6 miles and a dead battery, and got a big discount off MSRP while people were still paying over MSRP for GT350 after years in market. Everything changed after COVID and the car market craziness, but in 2018-2019 the ZLE was one of those rare and GREAT cars in history that went underappreciated for a long time, and then grew in popularity after it kicked a lot of Porsche/Corvette ass at the track. |

Just like the 2015 Z28-they could not give them away but now they are worth a lot of $$$

SFV1LE, you are right. During the early part of COVID GM was offering employee pricing on all their cars and Dodge was knocking $1,000 off for every 100HP. Hindsight is definitely 20/20. Big mark ups and overall elevated pricing have really changed the game. I love road racing and drag cars. When I saw the 2018 ZLE at the LA auto show both myself and my wife thought it was so awesome! Camaro’s weren’t on my radar at all, although the Demon sure was. Completely different missions but both so desirable. Up until I pulled the trigger on my car I was still going back and forth between it and a Widebody Redeye Challenger. Forgetting the driving dynamics of either car, I for one absolutely love the cockpit styling and feel of the Camaro. To me it was similar but better than my old Gen II ACR. I felt right at home. My gut instinct, about the Camaro was that the motor would be a one pass special, underbuilt to meet a minimum requirement. The Challenger on the other hand has a very old school meets modern day muscle car feel to the interior. Super fluffy comfortable stretch your legs out seating. I also knew that Chrysler powertrain engineering is the opposite of GM. Superior design in performance and durability. They are never one pass specials, every part is designed to take a beating over and over again. The problem with Chrysler products is that they have never had money, they have always been the bastard step child of some other organization. The base car parts tend to come from the crappiest bin. So while the power trains tend to be bullet proof other parts on the car seem to have been sourced from the junk pile. Both cars have their pluses and minuses and as a whole package are very desirable. In my mind, you’d own both. In the end, a few things swayed me to the ZLE. ZLE pricing although averaging 10k over sticker in CA, was far less than what’s happening with the Redeyes, really loving the Camaro interior overall layout and fit for me. Finally and it killed me to buy a much slower variant, but the manual trans. I must say in my opinion the best and I mean the best feature on the Camaro is that amazing transmission. Oh, I almost forgot, the second best feature, the suspension. The ride is epic race car, it’s absolutely perfect. So in summary, the two features considered by most humans a major negative, (interior and ride/ suspension) are part of my favorite features.
