LT1 supercharger upgrade tune question

Hey everyone,

I just finished installing my ZL1 supercharger on a friend's 2SS using a kit he ordered online. We're up and running but are looking for help on 2 issues.

First, I'm getting trouble codes P00EB, P2228, and P227C (it leads me to think there's an issue in the breakout harness or the MAP sensor that got installed is bad), but am I missing something on that front? Is there a learn procedure I don't know about?

Second, what about a tune? I flashed it with me stock ZL1 tune and it starts and runs nicely in the shop but I'm told I can't run that tune or it'll damage the engine. Obviously we haven't pushed it yet since I'm still in "reduced power" mode due to the above codes but could anyone assist on that? Anyone have a tune file they can share that would work? It's a stock 2SS manual. We don't have any tuners near us for adjustment and I'll admit that's beyond my skill level.

Thanks!

Is remote tuning an option? This is an everyday scenario for a pro, and you guys trying it for the first time, guinea pigging your friend's "baby", is pretty risky. There are several tuners on this forum who do remote tuning, but of course it's to be worked out between you and them for a customer installed setup.

There are alot of differences in a stock zl1 tune based on the hardware it's fitted with, specifically injectors and high pressure fuel pump, along with a difference in compression. I personally would put the original stock tune back on it. It will run alot better and fine if you're just in the shop. It will become an issue when you start getting into boost. That's also assuming you have the stock map sensor in it still. KingLT1 is the most active tuner on here in my opinion and might be able to help you out or Ted Jannetty of Jannetty racing would be another good choice that is on here.

Not an expert, but I also dont think you can just flash one car's tune over another. You would normally take the original car's tune and copy values from one to the other.

My understanding is that there are things specifically coded to vin numbers and such that could brick the electronics if doing this.

Best to get a remote tune for starters and dial it in from there if you like.
