Dreaded stone chip
Picked up a fingernail size stone chip on the freeway. Location is front left corner, mid tire height. What a bummer 😧. Anyways I was referred to a high end body guy with a shop in Covina. So I am getting it repaired next week. Will report back after job is done.

The first one stings without a doubt but you're in for a helluva future if chips put you in a body shop.
I like to use the Dr Colorchip method of dab and smear and buff with solvent (paraphrased) method. Best results I've ever gotten. |

I would touch that up and keep driving. And I am about as OCD as you can get regarding my vehicles. My car has 700 miles on it and has several small chips already. It was driving me to drink, then read that it is par for the course with these cars. Especially if you have the 1LE. I'd put PPF on the entire front before I went to a body shop for every chip I got.

I got the car back yesterday. The repair was done expertly, no way you can tell there was ever any paint damage. Cost was $350. The shop I went to is DG Collision Center in Covina. Dan is the owner. Anyways, I decided to not do this (professionaly) more than once a year. I ordered some touchup paint for future stone chips. But for the time being, my Camaro looks perfect again.

First cut is always the deepest and the hardest to let go.
