Chevrolet Platinum Warranty Coverage Question
I have Platinum Warranty Coverage. There is a loud noise under the passenger seat when someone is sitting there. It sounds like a real shrill horn. I raised the seat and looked for anything blocking the parts that are there. I did remove a napkin, but that didn’t help. It is an intermittent noise.
I called the dealer and they said there would be a diagnostic fee if the warranty doesn’t cover it, they said they wouldn’t know if covered until they submit Is there any way to find out ahead of time if it’s covered? Is there a list of covered items some where? Thanks |

If you check your extended warranty paperwork, I believe it tells you what isn’t covered, so anything else should be covered. The dealer should be able to determine that before you take it in. My brother has had to show his dealership on two different claims that they wanted to charge him for. The warranty paperwork confirmed that if it wasn’t listed, then it was covered.

I have platinum coverage as well. Platinum covers almost everything except wear and tear items like clutch, brakes, spark plugs, etc. if you google “GM platinum coverage” you can find a list of exclusions. For example it doesn’t cover cats/exhaust even though that’s not a wear and tear item.
