OEM part numbers for brake pads?
I did a lot of searching on this forum and couldn't find anything about OEM brake pad part numbers, so I'm sorry if this has already been covered.
Searching via my VIN on gmpartsdirect I got a part that says it was replaced by another part, which is this: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-pa...91925-85148032 (the new part number is 85148032). My question is: does this look legit from what you guys can tell? There are a few different pad parts listed, but I think the others may be single pairs vs the whole front kit. I have a '21 V6 1LE so I think the front brakes are the same as the non-1LE SS. Thanks in advance! |

I really hated shopping for brake pads for my '18 V6 1LE, I don't know why GM has to make it so damn confusing. The part numbers may have changed since I bought my replacements in November 2020, but here is what I bought:
I can say the pads were identical to the original Brembo Ferodo HP1000 pads in compound and shape. I purchased from RockAuto since a full set of front and rear pads was less than $250 before tax which was significantly cheaper than anywhere else. Hope this helps. |

I ended up ordering the part number you shared from Rock Auto - thanks again! You've helped me with so many things on this forum! I feel like you're the only other person who bought a V6 1LE to track it.
The 85148032 was also listed with all of the same fitment info but for $10 more and without a picture lol. Not sure what the deal is there but both fit the car so |

Does anyone know the part numbers for the 2SS? I have the same issue with figuring out which OEM number is right. I have the 50th anniversary if that helps.
Thanks! |

Update: installed the pads tonight and they were in fact the right ones!
DangerZone - not sure but I think the front pads for your car might match ours. If you go to Rock Auto you can search by car and it should narrow it down. I can take a look later. The 50th anniversary is 2017 right? |

Sorry for opening an old thread.
Regarding RockAuto they have usually unbeatable prices. But the last months somehow the prices are increasing. Just looked up some parts and some are cheaper with maloufparts for example. Also be careful regarding the part numbers. As they have a huge inventory system with many Brands it happens often that a wrong part will be shown. To be sure doublecheck the part number with an online parts dealer. For example looked for spark plugs for an 17 SS and Rockauto shows ACDelco 41168. But when you search on all other parts catalogues it shows part number 12622441 which are ACDelco 41114. If you with the GM part number 12622441 in Rockauto then it shows ACDelco 41114, which would be the correct ones. So pay attention on this and doublecheck the part numbers. |
