Catch Can Question

So, i bought a Mighty Mouse Mild catch can for my heads, cam 22 2ss. I read multiple directions on their site yesterday and some directions say to remove the valve from the pcv valve and some don't mention that. SO...should I remove the valve and spring from the inside of the pcv or leave it in there? Just a disclaimer, I did remove it last night but now I'm second guessing myself. Been raining, so i haven't driven it yet. Now, this morning, i see on my invoice that i purchased #3Q.C Camaro 6 Mild Shock Tower Q/C and those directions do not have me gutting the stock pcv valve. Am i ok, or do i need to get a new factory pcv valve and replace it? Thoughts?
