Sory but that shampoo protection probably last about a few weeks if it has zero interactions with weather. I would bet it would last maybe a week if it gets hit by any type of weather. Those shampoos are really not made for any type of long-term protection and offer little to any chemical protection.

If you dont want to do a full-blown ceramic get something that is a quality Ceramic spray
DIY Detail Ceramic gloss, Opti-Coat Hyper seal, Griots garage ceramic speed shine. Those will at least give you a few months at a time of protection and be alot more chemical resistant as well.

I applied Nanobond a few weeks ago and it's been great but I still have to wash the car properly, maybe not as often. It beads up like a wax job and looks relatively clean even driving in rainy weather for several days but requires the foaming brush at the quarter car wash still. I went with Nanobond because it's cheap, like $40 and it held up better than just about anything on youtube videos where the guy runs long term comparisons of different brands. Looks like nothing lasts much more than a few years, all the claims about lasting 5-10 years look like baloney.

Car is a daily driver on a 2 year lease, I feel like I'm being fussy even avoiding the drive through car wash!

In this climate with the mud and snow can't get out buckets and wash it like a show car in the nasty months, which is pretty much every month except summer. Only just recently turned the water on for the outside hoses.

Interesting. I looked it up & saved it for possible future reference. Seems to have good reviews. I like that they have a ceramic spray detailer too.

Too funny, the ceramic coating was the first to pop up on Amazon - followed by tons of Nanobond pots & pans. LOL.

Yes I got the link on here I think from another ceramic coating thread a while back for that guy on youtube who does long term tests, you can see where nanobond beats even most of the professional ones in multiple different tests he runs:

It was easier than a wax job in that it didn't require tons of buffing. The car had like 500 miles on it when I did it so didn't bother with clay bar and polish as some recommend but did use a final prep cleaner spray. It turned out great although if I had time probably would have done a light hand polish first.
