Agreed. Had a g37 with 330hp. Then I had a 16 s550 coyote. Had 450 at the motor. I then got a procharged SS with 603hp at the wheels. Each car was sufficient in speed till I upgraded. The HP isn’t needed but each one was WAY more fun to drive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You’d think that but no… it is not. I thought the same at around 450HP in my last car. Fastest thing I ever owned and surely fast enough. Then I got a procharged SS. Now riding in friends 1LE feels like riding in a 350z. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If I had to guess, I would think that is where most people tend to use power like that. In very quick bursts and then coming back down to regular speeds (when not on the track or drag strip, of course). Now, is that even remotely responsible or mature? Absolutely not. But if we were all responsible and mature to the point of being stale, we'd all be driving a Prius.

The shove in the seat is why I am saving up for either a Zl1 or c6 Z06 as I got used to the LT1 shove. |

To me a car that is fun to drive is more about balance. Horsepower is important, but so is handling, feel and braking. Someone above mentioned a 350Z. I've owned mine for 20 years, but yet it still brings a smile to my face every time I drive it. It is set up for autocrossing and even though it's by no means a new car or as fast as my Camaro it is one of the best handling cars I've ever owned, thanks to many suspension and braking mods. I have a friend who has owned almost 80 sports cars in his lifetime, including multiple 911s and Corvettes, including most recently a 911 Turbo. He likes to say I'd rather have a lesser horsepower car that I can drive at 6 or 7 tenths, than a high horsepower car that I can only drive at 4 or 5 tenths on the street. You get to utilize more of the potential of the car that way.

No doubt. Plus those cars are relatively inexpensive in comparison with other sports/performance cars so they are attainable by more people.

I had an ND2 miata, I know what this is. It was just too small for me. There is a fine middle ground, maybe the 86 is closer to the low end of that. Honestly if I could own two cars for the rest of time it would be the nd2 and the ss.

I second that! Though mine would have to be a custom miata with more leg room. Will they ever make one in Tall size?
