10" Android Headunit Factory Style Factory Retained
Just doing a follow up post. I've had this 10" headunit installed for about two months now. Its still as good as the day it was installed. I've had alot of questions about what the User Interface looks like and I've been uploading as many videos as I can to it as well as asking questions.
This was a NECESSITY! Coming from the stock 7" IOB. The 10" screen gives alot more visual information and higher DPI than the stock screen. The factory look in maintained with a special bracket install that matches it to the T. The Canbus system is used heavily with this car so thankfully someone has intercepted all of the signals from the car including steering wheel control, onstar, door information, temperature, headlight information and more(heated seats are retained if you have them for example) The only thing I can think of that was not retained and I'm perfectly OK with it, was the Door Chime, ANC and Turn Signal sound. They can actually be retained via a small speaker add on but I hate them so I left it out. I wasn't sure if my Onstar and connected services would be retained but they were so I use my Onstars wifi to connect to the headunit to browse Chrome or Update/Download apps. I did not care for Chevys camera integration and the lack of AHD high resolution so I removed the factory camera and installed matching pairs of Sony Starvis AHD cameras and it has made it a night and day difference. You can retain the factory camera with this headunit if you want but honestly if you are going through the hassle of upgrading and removing things you should consider the camera upgrade (and no you don't have to take the back bumper off to remove the camera, I did it myself in under 10 minutes) Anyways here's some vids, I'll post more in depth videos when work decides to give me a break🤣 https://youtu.be/lkGARBR0bD4 https://youtu.be/b0Jyplt3MJ0 https://youtu.be/3nc6Dlosdhc https://youtu.be/iwS_qAKYOrQ https://youtu.be/0d8oHEC0kJQ |

Here's a picture of the headunit before installation and a video showing front and rear camera as well as how the system activates them.

The main PCB is made by Topway its a TS10 with built in 32 band DSP, Amplifier(works on top of factory Amp), Bluetooth 5.0 dual channel, Octacore processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, 10" HD screen 8 bit, Wireless Carplay and Android Auto built in, has a plug for the Camaros center console usb's so there's two usb's plus a extra USB plug so three USB inputs, Amp output as well as SPDIF output, internal and external microphone, DAC+, HD Radio, TV Tuner, real-time engine diagnostics such as battery percentage, temperature, rpms, speed, odometer readings, headlight recognition too many things to list, it just adds way more than the stock or 8" version.
