ADD W1 3.3 Catch Can: Anyone Using This?
I bought one of these and the instructions are lacking to say the least. Here is the product I bought:
https://www.addw1.com/collections/al...t-v3-3-2016-up Anyone here have of these installed in their car? I searched youtube and there was not a single video of this product being installed into a 2016-22 Camaro. Last edited by Ikelove; 08-28-2022 at 12:19 PM. |

I have the V2 on 2 different SS's and they work as intended.
Have them basically mounted as shown in the pics at the link. Looks like the 3rd hose (which V2 does not have) goes to the air intake box. |

There is a combination of hoses that come out the valve cover breathers. You apparently have the option to cut the end of that hose of and either install the breather (option A) that comes in the kit or (option B) somehow T it into the same hose that it was T’d into - but you removed it for the big catch can hose. There is no T connection provided. Here are the instructions you get with the kit: |

I can't follow their instructions. The photo from their website shows where the hoses are installed though,
On the instructions, what does it say on the grey T of option B? Last edited by mstgeer; 08-29-2022 at 07:06 PM. |

You can see the breather in this pic. I would speculate you have to provide your own TEE and cut the factory hose for option B.

I contacted ADD W1 and explained the problem. In order to go to option B, ADD W1 needs to send you a T connector and a hose. They claim everything you need is included in their kit. However, if you go with option B you need to contact them for additional items not included in their kit and for pics not available on their website. Not sure why a company offers an option B that cannot be done until you contact them and request the additional parts and instructions.

ADD claims that their kit "comes with everything you need for easy installation." Not true. Option A allows you to user a breather filter. Kit comes with that item. Option B (which I wanted) allows you to run a hose instead of using the breather. ADD had to send me another hose a the T connector and extra clamps. While they make a nice product, they should not claim that their kit comes with everything when it does not. Also their instructions could be better. Also, the pictures for Option B are not on their web site.
