Anyone who received Whipple 3.0?

Seem whipple 3.0 released , but couldn't find anyone who installed it.

Anyone?

Great question. I tried to buy one for months starting at the end of 2021 when it was supposedly going to be ready for pre-order and Whipple kept postponing the release. After no updates from Whipple I decided to have Kong port my 2.9 for this year. I still don’t know anyone with the new 3.0 on an LT yet.

Done! I need to update my build thread.

I was surprised how much Kong took out! Didn’t realize there was that much available…looks way more open. It’s on the car and back running again, but I’m waiting to get into the shop very soon for all my other work (Interchiller, roll bar, Smoothboost, etc). I’ll definitely be putting it back on the dyno soon to see the difference vs unported!

Looks like this new Whipple is supposedly shipping in August of 2022:

That’s the fourth or fifth time it’s been delayed since late last year. Hopefully it’ll be ready by next spring for summer 2023.

I wonder why they have it for the SS but not the ZL1. Hood clearance issue?

There were slight differences on the LT1 and LT4 versions of the 2.9, but I’m sure they’ll get this dialed in for the ZL1s too. This 3.0 blower is supposedly drilled for both LT1 & LT4 out of the box, so I’m sure it’s just ironing out a few small things. No way they’ll ignore the ZL1 guys.

Yeah, I’m surprised it still fits under the cowl. The 2.9 was tight and the 3.0 cooling is massive. I think that thing is going to really rock and roll. The 3.0 vs 2650 is going to be a steel cage death match! I highly approve.
