Bottom line for those of us with "Toys". You are going to have to Pay to Play. With the push of EV's and everything else going on in the world... Gas is going to go up and just keep going up. We may catch a break here/there, but I think the days of $2.xx/Gallon Gas are behind us. I can see the average/gallon for 87 Octane going up to $4.00/Gallon and never coming back down. I hope I'm wrong, but I can see it happening.

Yeah, you'll just have all those other mooks in their sensible cars clogging up the roadways.

$10/gallon gas would push me to buy an EV. That for sure would be a tipping point for me.

It’s pretty obvious Biden stop American production on USA soil and wants buy foreign oil and get that extra bag of money personally dropped off in a brown paper bag.

I don't think I'd make that bet. I thought gas under $2.00 was never coming back, and then Covid hit and I was seeing premium under $1.99 a gallon. I figure if the EV infrastructure gets put in place (including charging times, as I've read that the fastest chargers can charge some new EVs in less than a couple of hours), more people switch over to EVs for basic commuting, and gas prices settle down with it being more of a luxury than a necessity. The key is for the infrastructure to be set up so that casual drivers aren't pushed back into ICE cars. The problem is that the oil/gas industry is really trying to keep that from happening as their industry is on the endangered list.

Thanks. I stand corrected.

For the record: As of 2020 The U.S. gets about 62% of its crude from Canada and Mexico. And only 7% from Russia.

Think about that next time you wonder why gas prices are so high. It ain't because of what is going on in Russia.

When were we ever energy independent, when everything was horse and buggy?

Would renewable resources get us back that independence? I don't think I've ever lived in a time where I could use my own resources to generate energy. I've always had to pay someone.

$8.17 USD? If so... Wow... I'm not sure I'd be driving around a V8 if Gas was $8.17/Gallon here. I doubt it.
