Tire Suggestion
I've decided that it's time to ditch the Goodyear F1 run flats this year. Does anyone have an option on the Michelin Pilot, or even another brand?

Assuming you meant "opinion", the Pilot Sport 4S is a very-very good tire for a wide range of temperatures and road conditions, it's one of the best ultra high performance all-rounders. It won't launch hard on the dragstrip, but does everything else pretty well.

Sorry for the typo, I did intend to say opinion. Glad to hear it's good in all conditions and surfaces, although I only drive in 75+ degree and dry conditions. The price on these things is ridiculous though. Can't be too mad considering its replacing the factory set. Thanks everyone, I appreciate it.

You should check out the tire sub-forum.
I have an SS, and have two sets of wheels. I replaced the run-flats with General Gmax AS-05's on one set, and BFG Comp2 plus A/S's on the other. I would consider these a more moderately priced option compared to the Michelin and Continental tires others prefer. These tires are close, but I slightly prefer the BFG. Check for rebates before you buy. |
