"Providing an affordable EV option in the industry’s highest volume segment proves Chevy is going to make EVs available to everyone"

Aside from the Bolt, this will probably be the only "affordable" model from Chevy for some time. And even then, you'll pay a premium over the ICE counterpart all else equal with a 30k starting MSRP.

At five bucks a gallon I spend about 2,000 dollars a year for gas. I can't see spending 50-100K for an EV plus electricity cost to save maybe a thousand bucks a year on gas...lol

From what I understand Equinox will replace Bolt EV/EUV.

Really, so the Equinox will be the smallest option from Chevy?

Smallest EV option for now. I'm sure something Trailblazer sized will eventually appear.

Trailblazer to me makes sense as an EV. In general I am still against EVs, but I am also a Chevy fan, and I say let them take their shot and do their best. Its also my opinion that, unfortunately, their best years are behind them. I long for the excitement and styling of some of their legendary cars, which are elements that are missing from their line up today.

It looks like we're seeing the new Chevy design language unfold. I don't hate it.

Does GM have a solution for when the handles freeze shut. I have seen plenty of videos of people that can't get into their teslas when there is snow and ice because the handles are frozen lol

Can't say that I hate this new Equinox EV either. Really liking that sporty back end with the shoulders and those taillights.

Leaves me wondering what the next ICE Equinox is going to look like...or is there even going to be another ICE version? The current Equinox just got the refresh, so it's good for another 2 or 3 years before the normal new generation would make it's debut. If we get another ICE version, is it going to have the same level of "premium" look as the EV?

Hopefully. Lyriq has the same handles.

I was thinking the mystery Chevrolet CUV we saw testing last week was the ICE Equinox but now that more of the camo is off, they're not lining up as much with the Equinox EV anymore.

It's the Blazer coming BEFORE the Equinox? Why aren't we seeing more of that? Kinda weird.
