My dealer told me that they don't have an allocation but since I signed a purchase order it will get me an allocation faster. Is that true ?

It definitely won't make GM grant that dealer an allocation any quicker, but it might move you up on the dealer's priority list if they have other people trying to order a Camaro through them as well. That would be up to the individual dealer's policy (if they even have one).

Still waiting for GM to accept a ZLE order. We have allocation, but A1Z on constraint and Rapid Blue on constraint (in Canada anyway). These are such weird times.

So you guys that are taking delivery of cars now or soon…. When did you order. Does anyone have inside as to what he delivery time is if I order another ZL1 now. I’m getting offers for my car at a couple k let tan I paid for it. It’s a 21 ZL1 manual ragtop in white. But sounds like I would not have one for next spring..

You can see what my timeframe was to get mine. I think I got really lucky. I also live in Lansing, and the Dealer picked it up from the plant, so I didn't have the shipping delay.

I placed last week.....I guessing (hoping) April 2022 delivery......I did notice several folks posting their orders had them listed as dealer stock and NOT a retail sold order....I would think GM would preference a SOLD order over a dealer stock order no?

-This is where I am confused also. My local dealer which is super small got one of the first Vivid Orange ZL1's in the country which was a sold unit. Now they just told me that last week GM released only 4 ZL1 allocations in the country and he got one and ordered a Rapid Blue ZL1 which is a non sold unit at the time. They have since sold it while waiting to get built. Says it should be built in November. I would also think that GM would fulfill sold orders first. CRAZY!!!

My ZLE order was converted in June to a 2022 model, reconfigured with vivid orange metallic, deposit was already paid and I was assigned an order number. Order status is still 1100 - Order Placed at Dealership.
UPDATE: My buddy, an executive at a new Chevrolet dealership, has just confirmed this to me: "...your ZL1 order has not moved from order status 1100 due to the 1LE package specification. Chevrolet does not have the all of the parts necessary to assemble a ZL1 1LE." I have been told that I am first in line at two dealerships now for a ZLE. There is no information available on specifically what component is unavailable however Chevrolet apparently has delivered exactly ZERO 2022 ZL1 1LE's. This is speculation on my part based on personal research. Has anyone taken delivery of a 2022 ZL1 1LE ??? I will continue to provide ZLE order information now that I have a better contact.

Hate to hear that your order is still in limbo. Maybe the part(s) will arrive soon, but they could be sitting in a container off the left coast waiting to moved into port. I suppose there's some consolation in knowing that you're not the only one who's waiting.

I came to a similar conclusion.
In the current 2022 chevy.com inventory, there are below 100 ZL1s and just around 2-3 ZLEs nationwide, with 0 ZLE in California.

1LE parts seem to be on backorder.
California specific brake parts might be as-well.

Not a great time to order a ZLE from California..

Hi everyone!

Just ordered a 2022 ZL1 Convertible with a manual in Sept.

Hopefully it won’t take too long...order was accepted but dealership said while it usually took 12 weeks, now it could take 6-8 months!!! :’(

Also, I’ve heard they will NOT be doing the blackwing engine. Too much RD required for the changes and no budget.
