You would think, though, a rational person, when presented with the fact that their contemptible government is fleecing them would be a little upset to the tune of almost double just to drive their vehicle vs almost anywhere else in the country. I had to make a new column for this on my logs, first column is the estimated range after fill up, the second is the trip, third is the difference between the two.

I'd leave if I was on the beach in Del Mar... I have an Ocean View from my house (I'm up on a 1,200 ft hill), I'm over it, the state and the people... None of it appeals to me, I'm here for my job, once I retire in a few years, adios...

I avg low 20's and won't own a small car that could get 40 mpg for safety reasons. I like the idea of having a small car but there are too many distracted drivers in larger SUVs these days, and too many 55+ mph highways without medians in my area.
