Locking the car with the hood up?
Has anyone figured out how to lock the car with the hood open?
When I am at shows with the hood up I want to be able to lock the car if I walk away from it, but you cant lock it with the hood open, you just get an alert on the dash. Is there a way around it? |

EDIT, so you may be be able to shut the hood but not all the way, just past the initial latch - like you just pulled the release - then lock the car. My laziness is too overwhelming to try this right now.

I know for fact that mine will lock with the hood released but not fully open as this is how I park the car for long periods in the garage. I leave the hood "popped" because I have a tender on the battery and I don't want the fuel system pre-charging when I open the door. I lock it because, well, habit.
