That would prove some oil specific non-sense.

Prepping my car for track use (1600 miles) and just received the complimentary first service.

They provided oil filter 12706595 and oil 19370233 which appears to be Mobil1 0-40 ESP D2. I didn't have to ask or make a special request. Was happy for that.

I'm going to buy the kit from Speedway too as I intend to perform my oil changes in the future and want to have a bottle on hand when I hit the course.

Also, earlier in this thread, someone posted the wrong link for the kit at Speedway. What you want is this one that has the correct PF64 filter:

I bought up a bunch of the "old" PF64's, so I'm good for a long time.

Had my first complimentary oil change done also on my 2021 LT1 at 1125 miles 2 months old. Got the same good stuff.

Mythical as in few vendors actually stock the products.

If you aren't tracking these cars, I don't know why you wouldn't just run the readily available and much less expensive 5-30 dexos.

I agree on the 5-30, most of the corvette and the Hi-po Camaro people drive on the street only . The 0-40 dexos mobil ESP oil was specifically developed for the corvette people who did track there cars and had to put up with the mandatory track prep to change out the 5-30 to 15-40 before every track run.

I'm referring to when you know it's gonna be a while before you track it, run the 5/30. In my 17 regular Camaro SS I ran the previous Valvoline 5/40 MST Dexos all the time with zero issues in 45,000 miles. I know, against all of what the factory recommendations say.....

The 0W40 ESP is on Amazon. Comparable in price to Speedway, if not better usually, depending if you have an Amazon CC and all that.

Usually hovers around $46-47 or so for (6) quarts. I have the Amazon CC, so basically comes down to $89 to my door for (12) quarts with my 5% discount. The price does go up/down day to day (typical Amazon), but if it's high within a few days it typically goes back down.

https://www.amazon.com/Mobil1-123875...omotive&sr=1-2

Speedway has the 12 quart + PF64 combo for $105 shipped, and perhaps for $95 if you get the $10 off coupon. So with the filter and all that, it's basically a wash.

Rockauto has 0w40 ESP for $6.38/qt and Wix 10255XP filter (equivalent to PF63) for $6.38. They'll ship 12qts and the filter to me for $10, for a total of $93.20.

I have a question on this...I just picked up my '21 ZL1 M6 on Friday. My first look under the hood and the oil filler cap specifies 0w-40. Do all '21 LT4s have this specific? Mine is one of the engines that has a Bowling Green Performance builder plaque on it.

Thanks,

Tara
