A turbo you say?
Let’s make it happen.

Buy a 16 Camaro with an Lt1 and forget the V6. Everyone makes a SC for them and you'll come out better in the long run. Good luck

I went the route of the Edelbrock in 1.7L blower. I have several videos on my YouTube channel and I can give you a variety of information from Dino numbers problems I've encountered and solutions I've developed.

I'm currently making just about 500 crank horsepower out of mine and I have room for more. You can safely get to about 450 wheel horsepower, before you seriously need to consider forged internals.

I can give you a link to my YouTube channel if you want.

Better yet if you want to modify a v6 ditch Chevy all together and pick up a new Supra as there is plenty of aftermarket support for it.

I mean, we already have a Camaro with a boosted V6.

It's called a Cadillac ATS-V.

I actually briefly considered one but in the end, the NA V8 just won out and I ended up with a C7 and then a Camaro.

Those are pretty expensive. Also, if you want a manual trans, you are SOL.

What everyone seems to forget is the major refresh for the interior.

Is this a daily, or a drag car? How important are creature comforts and modern amenities.

Mine is a daily, it's pretty damn fast in a roll race, and is easily a cross country cruiser still. And with room to grow to get even faster.

I have a 2018 RS V6 as well. How much power did you make before and after? Post up that YouTube channel. I'd be curious

Whatever you do for mods to a V6, you can do to a V8 and make way more power. Plus a better suspension, better brakes, stronger transmission, etc. In addition, mods are plentiful for the V8 and sky is the limit. Forged pistons, rods, aftermarket heads, fueling, etc are all on the shelf for LT1/4.

Started at 260WHP, currently at 383WHP according to a 4th gear pull on the dyno. So closer to 390 WHP.

My YT channel is https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCR_...geGee-eAdufbkQ

I'll be uploading a update video in a bit.

It's more expensive because you get a better car and some of the used ones in my area have dropped around the 45k mark so it's not much more than a 2ss. The op also has an automatic in his car so I don't think he cares about a manual they are a dying breed anyways. If the op is happy with what he's got that's great I'm just saying that if you want to modify a 6 cylinder Chevy would not be on my list.

ATS-V's are nasty little cars and highly over looked. bolt-ons and a little Ethanol they dip into the 10's pretty easy. The LF4 is a much more capable 3.6 then the LGX. They were not popular due to a high msrp just like the 5th gen Z28. Now you can find them relatively low mileage for around 40k. Solid car at that price.

Plus the Ats is a turbo set and I almost bought one before I ended up with my C7. The Ats is pretty sick for sure and it pulled hard especially from a roll of about 50 mph.

I know they are decently capable but another thing to remember that it's a lot of BMW. Not a great thing when it comes to reliability down the road. I know Toyota has worked on making it more reliable but it's too early to tell.

LGX, LT1 and LF4 all have a few years on them now and so if they have any issues, they should be well known now.

And better car? Not so much compared to SS 1LE. Maybe the GR is more capable? But that's also a bit more expensive.

If you are into modding then LF4 can be pretty a better choice as there is a lot to be gained just from tuning and ethanol fuel. I am not so I chose the C7 and Camaro SS.

And yeah, used examples go for a decent price.
